They were in the castle preparing for their trip. They knew what they needed so it did not take long before all of them were ready, letting each other know with only a nod, and teleporting directly to their destination. Except for her, of course. She was always slightly off and, for an elf especially, slightly clumsy as well. However, they all managed to gather outside of the Tower. The leader of their group, leading because he was the strongest of them all, and the best at outsmarting any enemy, was a dark elf. In addition to him and the girl - the only girl of their group - there were just two others, a mage and a knight.
The four of them had found this place, this tower, only a few days earlier. The tower itself was nothing special, although long ago it may have been considered a temple to some culture. The outside of the tower was very dull and did not have much color other than the odd, drab green stone it was made from, it was five stories tall. No one had ever spoken of it, and it was obvious why. There was also a horrible stench emanating from the place, and there was a sign posted next to the door:
There has not been a soul escape from this tower since its infestation. The beings inside
are intolerant and will not be merciful. Turn back now, and you shall live.
This sign did not sway the group, for they themselves had never been to a place where they felt they were in danger. They had been everywhere there was to go, but not here, and it beckoned to them. They had done things parties of ten could not do, this included slaying numerous Dragons, and they were only four. But where are my manners? I have not introduced them to you. However, their names have never been known, not even to each other. They referred to one another using titles that best suited them: the dark elf, Blood, because he marked himself in the blood of his enemy. The elf, Star, because she was so beautiful there is no other place she could have come from but the heavens and she also glowed slightly in the dark. The knight, Dragon, because of the number of Dragons he had killed, and he also collected their heads. And the mage, Healz, because of his incredible power to almost completely restore ones health and energy with the smallest of effort.
They all look at each other briefly, and following closely behind Blood they entered through
the large, castle like doors...
