There are several ways to get around in Lineage. You can walk from town to town, through forests and deserts and plains.
Where there is a harbor, you can take a boat to get from an island, or across a large body of water. You may also teleport from town to town. Teleporting is the automatic transfer of you (and any pets or summoned creatures) from one place to another.
Merchants in each town will sell you maps of the local area. Melissa in Aden Town will sell you a Map: All of Aden that has all areas on it. The easiest way to find Melissa is to use a few scrolls of Escape while in Aden. When you arrive at the point indicated in the screenshot below, Melissa will be just slightly southwest of you.

Bookmarking a location enables you to teleport directly to a specific place, rather than to a random location, when using scrolls or spells.
You must have a blessed teleport scroll or ring of teleport control (used with a teleport scroll or the teleport spell) in order to use a bookmark and choose where you teleport. However, to bookmark a place your character must be there.
For example, to bookmark Giran you need to be in Giran. Then, for example, if you find yourself in another part of the world and want to get to Giran, you can use a blessed teleport scroll and your bookmark for Giran to get there quickly.
To bookmark a location:
Type /bookmark [name] in the chat window.[Name] can be any term that will be easy to remember later. It does not need to be the actual location name.
To view your bookmarks, type /bookmark in the text entry field of the game interface and press Enter.
There are several ways to teleport.
If you have a ring of teleportation control in your inventory:
If you have a blessed teleport scroll:
You may use an identification scroll to see if you have a blessed teleport scroll in your inventory. Or, simply use the teleport scroll. If your bookmark window comes up, it is a blessed scroll. Blessed teleport scrolls are dropped by monsters like arachnevils.

The teleporters you see in most towns are wizards who are learning magic from the Ivory Tower at Oren. For a fee, they will offer their teleporting service.
Note! For towns with ruling castles, prices for teleport services fluctuate according to the tax rate for the town, set by the pledge that holds the castle.
