Account Creation

To play Lineage, you must have an active PlayNC Master Account and Lineage Game Account.

All new game accounts receive a seven-day free trial period; recurring billing will begin after the free trial period if you have chosen the Credit/Debit Card payment option via your PlayNC Master Account, and Game Time Cards are good for 60 days of access after the included trial period has ended.

Creating Your Accounts

On our Create Account page, click on the "Create Account" button to begin the account creation process.

Follow the resulting step-by-step instructions for creating your PlayNC Master Account and Lineage Game Account. Refer to the Create Account page as well for basic information on our seven-day trial period, discounted pricing for multiple-month subscriptions, and gameplay features.

On our Message Boards page, click on the "New user" link to begin the board account creation process and sign in using your Lineage Game Account login and password.

Follow the instructions listed on the MESSAGE BOARD ACCOUNT CREATION page to register your Lineage Board Account.

Please Note! Multiple board accounts cannot be registered to the same e-mail address.

Managing Your Accounts

  • PlayNC Account Management: Sign in using your PlayNC Master Account login and password. From the MANAGE PLAYNC ACCOUNT page, you can edit your account and contact information, purchase additional serial codes for NCsoft games, add additional games to your PlayNC Master Account, or log out of PlayNC.
  • Lineage Game Account Management: Sign in using your PlayNC Master Account login and password. From the MANAGE PLAYNC ACCOUNT page, you can edit your account and contact information, reset your game account password, deactivate your game account, or log out of PlayNC.
  • Lineage Board Account Management: Sign in using your Lineage Board Account login and password. From the Control Panel page, you can edit your board profile information, set display and notification preferences, manage post reminders and favorite threads/forums, view online friends from your address book, or send and receive private messages to and from other board members.

Please Note! It is imperative that you maintain accurate account information for your PlayNC and Lineage accounts; inaccurate account information may negatively impact your ability to manage your PlayNC and Lineage accounts.

Additional Account-Related Information

  • Forgot Password?: Sign in using your PlayNC Master Account login and password. From the MANAGE PLAYNC ACCOUNT page, you can reset your game account password. If you have forgotten your PlayNC account password, click on the "FORGOT PASSWORD" link at the bottom of the PlayNC Account Management page. If you have forgotten your Lineage Board Account password, enter your board account name into the Username field on the Lineage Board Account Management page and click on the "I forgot my password" button; this will e-mail a temporary password to the e-mail address entered under your board profile, enabling you to sign in to Lineage Board Account Management to reset your board account password via the Control Panel.
  • Payment Options: Lists available payment options, billing plans, and answers to the most frequently-asked questions regarding billing for Lineage; submit any related questions to our Billing Team by using the "Ask a Question" tab on this page.
  • Rules of Conduct and User Agreement: Lists those guidelines governing basic interaction within the Lineage service, agreed to during game account creation. Please check these guidelines periodically for any amendments or modifications.
  • Account Security FAQ: Lists information on how to protect yourself from unauthorized access of your computer and accounts.
