STATISTICS
When you create a character, you have a set of statistics, also known as capabilities or attributes. You can adjust the first six of the following statistics when creating your character.
Strength (STR): Determines, along with level and dexterity, your chance of hitting an enemy in combat and how much damage you do in short-range combat.
Dexterity (DEX): Determines, along with level and strength, your probability of hitting an enemy in combat.
Intelligence (INT): Determines the amount of power you have for learning and casting spells.
Constitution (CON): Determines the extent that your health (hit points) improves each time you advance a level, and the speed with which your hit points regenerate after combat.
Wisdom (WIS): Determines the extent that your magic points improve each time you advance a level.
Charisma (CHA): Determines the number of creatures or mercenaries you can summon, tame or hire. For
Princes and Princesses, it determines the maximum number of members in your Pledge.
Armor Class (AC): Based on the armor you are wearing and protective magic in use, armor class determines your chance of being hit in combat, and can reduce damage if you are hit.
Note! The lower your Armor Class is, the more protection you have.
Hit Points (HP): Indicates how much damage you can take in combat before dying. Hit points eventually regenerate after they are lost. They can be restored more quickly by going to an inn or through magical healing (healers, potions and spells). If your weight gauge exceeds 50%, you will not regenerate HP.
Mana Points (MP): Your reserve of power that you can draw upon for casting spells. Mana points regenerate after they are used. They regenerate faster at an inn. If your weight gauge is over 50%, you will not regenerate MP.
Note! Once your stats are chosen they are set for the life of your character. Think about the balance of attributes you want your character to have from the beginning.
Customizing Your Character's Statistics
There are many ways to play Lineage and many styles or paths to use in game play. The tips in this section only touch on a couple of the various ways you can create your character. It is informational only; you may create and play your characters any way that you wish.
Knight
All Knights start off with the following base statistics:
Strength ...........16
Dexterity ..........12
Constitution .......14 |
 |
Wisdom..............9
Charisma...........12
Intelligence .......8 |
You will notice that you have four (4) remaining points with which to customize your character.
Tips on Customizing Your Knight
Many players like to concentrate on their Knight's strength and constitution. Because a Knight participates in battle mainly through direct and close contact, these are the abilities that have the largest influence on a Knight's performance. Knights cannot learn magic spells, so intelligence and wisdom are not very useful to this class.
The constitution Knight has a strength value set to 16 and constitution to 18 so that physical power is augmented by their ability to take a blow. Additionally, a higher constitution value means faster HP regeneration. The physical fortitude of a constitution Knight exceeds all other classes by far; therefore, once fully equipped, the Knight can advance most easily. The major benefit of a constitution Knight comes through at higher character levels - they do not need to use as many potions to keep up their HP.
The strength Knight has a strength value of 18 or 19 and a constitution value of 15, thus following the form of a traditional Knight with amazing attack power and a relatively good constitution.
While the primary statistics for a Knight should be strength and constitution, dexterity can also be useful, affecting one's ability to hit accurately.
There are many variations as to how you can set up your Knight character. Choose what you think is best for you.
Wizard
All Wizards start off with the following base statistics:
Strength ...........8
Dexterity ..........7
Constitution ......12 |
 |
Wisdom..............12
Charisma.............8
Intelligence .......12 |
You have sixteen (16) remaining points with which to customize your character.
Tips on Customizing Your Wizard
The greatest weapon of a Wizard is magic. Therefore, the default values for wisdom and intelligence of an ordinary Wizard are set higher, in contrast to the low strength, dexterity or constitution values necessary for battle. The basic form for the Wizard sets intelligence and wisdom at 18, with either charisma or strength at 13 or 14. Some players set constitution at 13, but in the case of a Wizard, increasing the constitution value by 1 does not result in much advantage. Thus it would be better to increase the strength required for battle instead.
The constitution Wizard, which some players use, has wisdom and constitution values set at 18. This form is popular because it allows greater physical ability than a dexterity Elf and magical abilities on par with an ordinary Wizard. Even though higher constitution levels mean faster MP generation, this style is very challenging for beginners.
The wisdom Wizard has a wisdom value of 18 (or more, when using wisdom-enhancing items). Adding points to wisdom increases your maximum mana points. Therefore, you get more MP than Wizards with lower wisdom settings and have the ability to cast more spells before needing to regenerate.

Prince/Princess
All Princes/Princesses start off with the following base statistics:
Strength ...........13
Dexterity ..........10
Constitution .......10 |
 |
Wisdom..............11
Charisma............13
Intelligence .......10 |
You have eight (8) remaining points with which to customize your character.
Tips on Customizing Your Prince/Princess
Fundamentally important to the Prince/Princess, the charisma value must be high in order to maximize the number of followers in their Pledge. Generally the charisma value for a Prince/Princess is set at 18 and then the other numbers are distributed appropriately among the remaining abilities. There are other strategies, though.
A charisma Prince/Princess is the most popular type because the number of members a Prince/Princess can admit into their Pledge corresponds to the value of his or her charisma. There are only a couple of items that can actually increase charisma value after your Prince/Princess is created (a crown and the red knight's cloak), so high charisma levels are considered to be very important.
Another option is the strength Prince/Princess, also known as a Knight-Prince. This is a variation more adept in fighting battles. In this case, the strength value is set at 18 or 19 with a charisma value of approximately 15. The strength Prince/Princess is relatively easy to develop and, as the strength value is so high, they show admirable power in battle.
Other options for defining Prince character stats include the wisdom Prince/Princess and the constitution Prince/Princess. A higher wisdom value increases the spell power the sovereign has for learning and casting magic spells; a high constitution level gives the Prince/Princess a higher ability to withstand damage in battle and faster HP regeneration.

Elf
All Elves start off with the following base statistics:
Strength ...........11
Dexterity ..........12
Constitution .......12 |
 |
Wisdom..............12
Charisma.............9
Intelligence .......12 |
You have seven (7) remaining points with which to customize your character.
Tips on Customizing Your Elf
The Elf has the most equal distribution of abilities among all the classes. But because all the values are average, it is difficult to create a character of special skill. Rather than settling for an average Elf, it is best to aim for special dexterity or constitution features.
The constitution Elf is a favored option. Usually, a constitution Elf has strength of 12, dexterity of 12 and constitution of 18. This choice of abilities endows the Elf with relatively high physical capabilities and quick recovery rates, thus making it a popular character form. A useful weapon for the constitution Elf is a rapier.
Next, there is the traditional dexterity Elf. Elves are naturally dexterous, and this a great aid to those who choose to follow the path of archery. The corresponding evasion rate is also increased, allowing them to quickly advance through the early levels. Useful weapons for this type of Elf are the crossbow, the yumi bow and the rapier.
You could also create a strength Elf, with elevated strength values, which make them better in hand-to-hand combat than the average Elf. This type of Elf will find many uses for a katana.
Elves are second only to human Wizards in magic, so an intelligence or wisdom Elf could be an interesting character to play. To increase your Elf's spell power, increase the intelligence and wisdom statistics to support this tendency.
There are many variations as to how you can set up your Elf character. Choose what you think is best for you.
Dark Elf
All Dark Elves start off with the following base statistics:
Strength ...........12
Dexterity ..........15
Constitution .......8 |
 |
Wisdom..............10
Charisma.............9
Intelligence .......11 |
You have ten (10) remaining points with which to customize your character.
Tips on Customizing Your Dark Elf
The natural ability of this assassin-like character lies in its attack strength, which is higher than any of the other classes, and its high magic resistance. Its weakness is in defense ability, which is only slightly higher than that of a Wizard. It has a limited ability to use other race's two-handed weapons but is extremely proficient with those designed for Dark Elves.
The strength Dark Elf maximizes this character's already supreme attack strength in hand to hand combat. This is the perfect assassin as it moves in quickly to do the maximum amount of damage before taking any hits. This character compliments a constitution Knight perfectly.
Another preferred character is the dexterity/constitution Dark Elf. The advantages to this character are the maximizing of the already mastered ability with range weapons, while minimizing the defense weakness of the character.
